Double tube heat exchanger is a type of tubular type heat exchanger. Double tube heat exchanger is a concentric tube connected by two standard different sizes tubes . The outer tube is called shell side, and the inner tube side is called tube side. Two different media can flow (or be in the same direction) in the shell side and tube side to achieve the effect of heat transfer.
Working Principle:
Double tube heat exchanger is a kind of heat exchanger in which two different mediums can flow reversely (or in the same direction) to achieve the purpose of heat exchange. In reverse heat transfer, the hot fluid enters from the upper part, while the cold fluid enters from the lower part, and the heat is transferred from one fluid to another through the inner tube wall. The distance from the inlet end to the outlet end of the thermal fluid is called the tube side; the fluid enters through the connecting pipe of the shell, and enters from one end of the shell to the other end, and the heat exchanger through this way of heat transfer is called the shell side sleeve heat exchanger.
Material can be made as SS304 or SS316L .
