Short path molecular distillation (short-path distillation) is a new separation technique that addresses the problems that conventional distillation techniques cannot solve. It can achieve "liquid-liquid" separation at very low vacuum according to the mean free path difference of molecular motion under the temperature of much lower than the liquid boiling point; Mainly the use of scraper system forcing liquid film evaporation or distillation of a highly efficient evaporation, distillation equipment, deodorization, degassing reaction and supporting heating, cooling and other unit operations, can be widely used in food, fine chemicals , Electronic materials, plastic engineering and polymer (such as polyols, fatty acids, polyphenols, polyurethanes, epoxy resins, milk fat, GMS, flavors and fragrances, heavy oil and paraffin oil) purification and so on. The system can also be used to recover organic solvents from industrial effluents. Especially suitable for high boiling point, heat-sensitive, easily oxidized material separation and purification.
Principle of molecular distillation process:
The separation process is as shown in the figure. The material is added from the top of the evaporator and distributed continuously and uniformly on the heating surface through the material-liquid distributor. The film scraper scrapes the product into a very thin, turbulent liquid film. In this process, the light molecules escaping from the heating surface reach the condenser and condense into liquid, and flow down the condenser tube, and discharge through the discharge tube at the bottom of the evaporator; Residues, or heavy molecules, are collected in a circular channel under the heating zone and then discharged through a side discharge tube.
